    just use your girlfriends old tights and make a ghetto filter.

    a square bit of tights attached to your fan with a rubber band. easy peasy and you can chuck it away when its full of dust.

    i do have my moments,

    no this has to be the cheapest way to filter your air and you can tailor the amount of airflow by altering the denier of the tights, i prefer a 15-20 denier for large fans and a 10 denier for smaller 80mm fans.
