I just remember intentionally going for an AQXEA from CPU-city due to it's reputation back then. In the end, 2.4Ghz was pushing it (and the fans were real noisy though back then I thought I wouldn't care about noise and made no effort on that end), it did 2.3Ghz fine for years (till I upgraded).
