    Media Remotes

Can anyone recommend a decent Media Remote for a computer which sits near a TV

I dont want to make the same mistake as I did with a wireless mouse which I purchased that was completly useless unless almost joined to the dongle!

    Thanks

If you don't mind spending a fair chunk more, I can heartily recommend the Gyration media remote.

It's a cross between a remote and a Wiimote, so at the click of a button you can move your mouse on screen as well as using regular playback controls. An excellent (and programmable) remote.

    Re: Media Remotes

Although no where seems to sell them new any more, we've got three of these Microsoft Media Centre Remotes for the various PCs in this flat and find that they work very well, naturally particularly if you are using a media centre setup. There do seem to be a few remotes about that offer similar functionality these days though.
