    NEC 2500a + Datawrite Red v3

I bought quite a few of these discs about a week ago and at first they seemed great, however there seems to be slight problem for me. They seem to burn ok, then play on my standalone player and laptop however they won't play on my pc - on the NEC 2500a that burnt them
Has anyone else any problems playing them on the 2500a ?

edit: totally posted in the wrong forum - just woke up, would a passing don pls move it.

    Cheers

    Your problem

    Hello
i bourght the same disks and it seems that the problem is not realy a problem .
the disks you have bourght are + disks so if they are not playing you need to buy - disks to make copying quick and easy and these will read because they will be the same as the driver .
If the driver you are trying to read them in is a + DRIVER and you have copyed it on a - driver it wont read! so you need the same software just buy compatable disks

    hope ive been helpfull
    and question e-mail me theoneandonlydannyt@hotmail.com

    thanks

Have you got a dvd playing software installed?Like powerdvd or windvd. Is your media player codecs up to date? This what my problem was when dvd's wouldn't play on my pc.

This was a weird problem that seemed to sort itself out without me doing anything ....

The datawrite red v3's are - discs, and I have used + and - discs on this burner/pc without any problems before and since.

As for codecs/dvd player, I have, and always have had an AiW so use ATi's dvd software (based on powerdvd) as well as ffdshow, anyway it sorted itself out and now I don't have any problems
