    I'm in my last year so moving it is not an issue as I only have to do it once, nor is burglary we are quite secure here

    I currently have the 1055t at 137.95 posted or the 955 at 111 posted on offer

    I'm using the 965 overclocked to 3.9 on air cooling and had nothing but joy with this CPU.

    I would've gone for the 6 core 1055 - more cores will be alot more valuable a year or so down the road.

    Just make sure the system is balanced overally. I've known people to buy a cracking CPU and then say onboard gfx is ok?

    Haha no It will be a xfx 1gb 6850 - the dual fan one

    And a 600w modular psu so plenty of power

    Different uses, not everyone needs or wants a graphics card, even though they need more cores and\or powerful cpu.

    indeed, if you're not playing games then you need very little in the way of gpu power and the cpu while not the most efficent of things can still handle so simple gpu jobs like video encoding.
