Hi everyone,
I recently built a new Sandybridge based computer, I'm very happy with it apart from one slight niggle.
I have the Lian-Li V354B, it is an MATX case with 2 x USB 3.0 ports on the front to connect external HDs etc.
This front panel connects directly to external USB 3.0 ports at the back of the computer, however, I am using the Asus P8P67-M Pro which has its USB 3.0 ports at the very top of the motherboard, and so the cable is only JUST long enough to be routed through the top PCI-E slot and then up torwards the USB 3.0 slots.
The cable is very taut, blocking all the other USB slots that it goes over. Another problem is that I have had to move the HD6950 into a lower graphics slot which sadly means it has less air clearance with the bottom of the case because it has a very large, silent custom cooler on.
So my problems would be solved if I had a USB 3.0 Female to Male extension, I know these are readily available but I want 2 which are only around 5cm long as that is all I need. I don't want a 2m one which just clogs the back of the machine up more than it already does.
Any help would be much appreciated!
PS: I haven't swapped the motherboard for the CougarPoint issue yet so changing the motherboard isn't out of the question yet, however I can only seem to find this motherboard which offers both P67 and M-ATX
