Lo people
I'm busy.. dead busy. I have my trusty Qx6700 at 2.9 and 4 gig of DDR2. I HAD 3 gig DDR 2 but it made no difference at all to almost anything I did.
In my cupboard is a S1155 mobo that I got cheap late last year...it effectively is doing nothing.
However... Scan are selling Corei5 2500K CPu's at 3.3 Gig and 8 gig of ram got £197.
It'll mean a full reinstall and that takes time...
but is it WORTH the time?

). I can say without a doubt that it is quicker due to the use of the QPI rather than the having an FSB and with a bit of tweaking I've managed to get my OC profile up to 5 GHz for when I need power and speed.
Only the i7-900 series chips use that. The 2500k uses DMI, just like the Q600.
