    Saitek Cyborg 7 keyboard

    Hi everyone

I'm having issues with my cyborg 7 keyboard.

The issue just started to happen last night.

When I type the character N I get nm if I hold down the N I get nmmmmmmmm untill I release the n key.

If i type the m key i just get m

    If i use the character 2 i get 2x
. on the number pad gives me .*

With it giving me 2x It kind of rules out there being somthing stuck under the keys. but i removed the n key just to make sure and there was nothing under it. I have not spilt anything on the board and I keep it clean.

The steps I have taken to troubleshoot this are as follows:

I fully removed all keyboard and input device drives, including the hidden ones.

Reinstalled the drivers from fresh and the issue still happens.

I have tried with the standard windows drivers and I still get the issue.

I'm running it on windows 7 64bit on my pc with the latest drives

I have tried this keyboard on a laptop running win 7 64bit and it also does this.

But here’s the kick in the teeth. I tried it on my ladies laptop which is running vista 32bit and its fine!!

I have a copy of win7 32 bit which I'm going to try and also my friend is going to loan me his xp laptop to test it on.

Anyone else had issues with this board?

well I tried the keyboard on new installs of xp, vista nad win 7 32 bit which all worked fine.

    Reinstalling a fresh copy of 7 64bit.

Bizzare that it would do it on 2 different installs of win 7 64 bit.

I realize that you have access to a separate pc on which to try your kb on, but a useful tip is to dload a 'live' linux distro (i.e. ubunto, http://www.ubuntu.com/). This allows you to boot from your optical drive into linux (with no danger to your installed OS and software), ubuntu in this case (which comes with many programs) and will enable you to troubleshoot your hardware. In this case, it will have told you wether the problem was software related (windows 7), or hardware (keyboard).
