    Non-Working USB Ports

When I got my cheiftec case, which replaced my rubbishy old one, I thought nothing of using the new front panel connectors. First thing I found (I hadn't moved my motherboard since I bought it from Savastore) that my board had no sound over the left/right channels. I fixed this by attaching the old front panel connector for headphones from my old case. I then wired up my new USB connectors and find they dont work either. I can't figure out why my m/b will only work with the old connectors.
Anyone have any ideas why because at the moment I have to use the 2 usb ports on the back!
    Help much appreciated

at a guess the usb port connector of the case is wired differently to the motherboard thus u need to look in the manual and adjust the connectors wires to suit

[edit] right asuming your mb is the 1 in your sig (ms-6585)?? and your cheiftec has its usb cable wired the same as mine then it should work only ,so only thing i can think of is to make sure u are plugging in the usb cable (the black 1) from the frnt panel

Yup, it is the MSI 648 Max. Just had a look, wired the black cable to the case and still nothing. I might try using the old panel connectors (and wires) to connect it up and see if it works.
