    Overclocking a P4 on a P4P8X

Im having a hell of a time trying to overclock a 2.6c on this board. the best I can get is 2.7ghz. I have quality ram in it 256mb of hyperx and 256 of OCZ preformance PC3200.

Ive raised the volts to 1.625v but still no joy. Im aiming for the magic 3ghz with an aero 4 lite which currently has the CPU at 34'c.

So the heat and ram arent an issue surely, any ideas?

Have you tried with just one stick of RAM?

What happens at above 2.7ghz, does the computer just not boot at all? or do you just get errors?

What is the rest of your system?

Have you locked the AGP/PCI ratios in the BIOS?
