    i have always used the paste that comes free with the cpu! but i have not overclocked really, so what is the diffrence between paste and greace?

    Paste, Grease, It's all the same stuff really.
    Basically by using something like AS5 you'll be getting a small reduction in temps on the cpu - probably about 5 degrees or less. For overclockers that probably translates to another 100Mhz or so to squeeze out of the chip while still being at a safe temp.

    I would suggest getting AS Ceramique though mate seems to be the quality stuff out at the moment
