Question box needed to switch between speakers & headphones

I want to have the headphones and speakers plugged in at the same time with the ablility to switch between them. A simple splitter is no good as the headphones will also then be on at same time as speakers(as you cannot turn headphones off). Is there a box you can have both plugged into where you can switch between them so only the one you select will be on?

    any suggetions?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Have you tried richer sounds or some other such av store? They may well be the best people to help. When I plug my headphones into the front of my shuttle the speakers just stop working!

Just get 3 3.5mm to 2*3.5mm adapters. Sorted. When you dont want the speakers, just turn them off.

It would be very simple to make one - 6 or 7 3.5mm stereo jacks, tsdt switch (any multi would do), little maplins project box ... few mins soldering and you've got a perfectly good box
