Waoaw, Samsung's site is terrible, trying to RMA a hard drive

Jeez...a consumer shouldn't have to do so many laps. Finally just had to dig it out of Amazon's site and all I could really get is a phone number.

Well, good luck to me tomorrow, trying to explain to some samsung muppet that I need a replacement hard drive...

Its weird how quickly you can get used to good service and websites from certain companies *cough*apple*cough*, makes other experiences instantly feel archaic. [/rant]

ps its a portable Samsung S2 1TB which is now failing to mount.

I've recently had to deal with Samsung warranties due to a broken fridge. They were honestly the best company I've had the pleasure of dealing with - so don't give up just yet

I think when a company is that big, there is nothing in common between the home appliances samsung and the computer samsung other than a company name

It's pretty shocking, I wasted a half hour digging around for a phone number or the correct website. You're right, it is the seagate site, but its a bad site to use and it's not obvious how to do the process.

Oh and to top it off, I sent a carbon black drive back, they sent me a pink/red one back , on the plus side it is a USB3 one.

That's sad, Samsung warranties were one of the reasons I used to buy their drives.

I figured it would get bad, but not that fast

Well i personally have had a very bad experience with samsung, i have a faulty monitor and it took them 8 weeks to pick it up via courier, i was told upto 10 days for it being repaired and returned but its now coming close to 8 weeks and still have not had it back from repair, i work as a tech advisor and i sell samsung products ranging from tablets to tv's needless to say i will not be recommending there products to customers if thats what there after service is like.
