Less hard disk paging in games, alot less with games that use up alot of ram such as Farcry and doom3. I take it you play games on this laptop?

Of course I was getting a very bad 7-15 fps in doom 3 when going into new rooms, once they had loaded, it was a bit better. Whereas some hallways, it was very smooth.

Iwas able to run far cry really well on medium settings. Even with 2xAS 2xAA. It always stayed roughly above 20 FPS.

Plus, I generally want to kinda keep on top of things

Yea it will help alot with doom3, just think of the smoothness all the time, not just after it has finished loading. Should also help if you are running alot of programs in windows. It will generally make your computer run smoother which is always good.

Remember to do all the tweaks for Doom3, it smooths it out a lot for non nvidia devices, shame it can't help the deathly dull gameplay though
