Corsair CX600W V2 review

There seems to be very few reviews of the higher wattage Corsair CX V2 series. This is the first one I have seen:

It looks to be a group regulated unit.

However,the CX V2 series has been now replaced by the CX V3 which have 80+ Bronze effiency and the new CX Modular series.

Does this mean all the Corsair CX will be upgraded to V3?

Cause I was ready to buy in the near future a CX430-V2 for £35, but if the V3 upgrade is all across the series I may wait.

Any chance when they will be available? And when Scan will have the new ones?

I would get this PSU over a CX430W anyway:

It is made by Seasonic and quite a decent PSU for the price.

Hmm, you made me intrigued.

Cause I read a really good review about the CX430 V2. Will see when the time comes.

Wonder what the differences will between V2 and V3. V2 innovated active PFC transistors and +12 V rectifiers.

They weren't "innovated" they where upgraded slightly because the old ones were under rated and it was only done to improve the efficiency enough to pass the 80+ tests.

There's a lot of debate over the quality of the capacitors used in the low end corsair psu's

It looks like the primary capacitor is now a Panasonic,but the secondaries are a mixture of Samxon,Nippon Chemicon,Jun Fu and Capxon.

However,finally the CX430W has more current available on the 12V line than the CX430W(32A instead of 30A).

There main complaint seems to be the high cost of 65euro but ebuyer has it for just under £40 which is just 46euro
