Crucial 8GB RAM
AMD Radeon 6700
128 OCZ SSD
80 SATA HDD

Comes with 22" monitor.

Is this a fair price?

Does it come with an Operating System? What is the motherboard? Is the monitor CRT/LED/IPS? Some more information on all the parts would be needed to give a full answer :-)

All the info so far is a little vague, but I would suggest that equivalent parts, brand new, you could get:

8GB RAM: £50
Equiv. CPU: £50
Mobo: £40
SSD: £70
Monitor: £85
PSU: £40
--
£335

The case is nothing impressive, the HDD is worthless, and the graphics card is effectively unspecified at present. The 6700 was a series, rather than a card. Which member of that series is quite important. If you don't have an OS already, that would cost you a bit to buy.

Point is, you could buy something equivalent for brand new for not a lot more. It's really not a bargain in my eyes.

I would be inclined to look at a new Micro-ATX FM2 board, with an FM2 processor that would incorporate a graphics chip probably equivalent to the one in this PC, and have a faster processor than the Athlon.

Do you have a particular budget in mind? What are you intending to use the PC for? Maybe if you could knock the price down it might be alright, but at least see what your brand new alternative is first.

Well given that windows 7 ultimate on it's own is £150 it's not that bad, not great given the rest but not bad ether.

the 330u isn't anything special but was one of the better cheap mATX case

Ask him what the PSU is and the full grahics card details

What are you intending to use the PC for?

I think that is the big question.
If you want it for gaming then the graphics card will probably need to be upgraded

Thanks all, that's great analysis, pushed me towards purchase, since it's a colleague and I will have delivery, for £280, and I don't fancy doing assembly
Will probably buy a Win8 since 7 is bootleg, unless you don't recommend (?)
Will use it for gaming, BF3 is said to run smooth, but games like CS:S and even SOF2 are more my thing

Ah, so the OS is worthless as well. Even if you don't fancy doing assembly, we can still advise pre-built systems like http://3xs.scan.co.uk

I don't think this is a great buy - as I said before, I would at the very least consider what you can get for the equivalent price, but obviously it's your call.

Ahh yes if the OS is not ligit and you want winows8 anyway don't bother.
That's not going to run BF3 very well on higher settings. the 6790 was around the same as the gtx460 768mb the 6750 was slower than the 5770
