Powered 2.0 speakers, £40ish, headphone socket, recs?

    Hello all

I currently have a Logitech S330 2.1 setup. It's quite nifty in that it has a little desktop unit that allows me to plug in regular jack headphones or a mic - so I've never actually plugged anything into my PC front speaker sockets.

The problem is that subwoofer hums annoyingly.I'm pretty sure it's the unit at fault - it hums without anything plugged into it, and in any power outlet around the flat.

I don't actually care about the .1 bit, ordinary stereo is fine.

Can anyone suggest a nifty speaker set to replace the Logitech?

    Thanks

Update: these have caught my eye, a bit more than I'd originally budgeted for but reviews look pretty good:
