    Athlon64 performance

    Though this may interest some.

Remember this is the single channel chip, not the Athlon FX that uses dual channel

Just noticed the stupidly overclocked 9800pro
about 140 clock on the core alone!

Still, even if I went that high I would be cpu limited so the A64 is doing something right

Yeah ... I checked that out about an hour ago, looks impressive.

Pity I just bought a new CPU last week

Think I'll get me an AthlonFX after xmas when the socket situation is sorted. Hopefully M$ will have relased Windows XP 64-bit edition too. That way I can boast a 64-bit only PC

will ms release a win2k-64bit edition? i prefer it a lot compared to the childish winxp, some say it can be made to look normal though, with effort.

wow just relised, those scores arnt even in 64bit (thought they had winxp64 beta or something), and they say these will cost less than p4's

intel is going to need a few more ghz to keep up methinks

I'm sure there is a current 64bit XP in the works is there not?
Other than that I think there is a few 64bit Linux distributions floating about...
I think longhorn will be available in both 32 and 64bit variations

Do you think that link got slash-dotted or something?
