My only choice would be the Karma to be honest, my sister has an ipod and i was disappointed that it couldnt handle drum and bass or anything with bass. Everything else just doesnt seem to shout out that its any good. And the Karma is at least guaranteed great function.
Luckily i dont need to take so much music with me so the 5GB Rio Carbon would be my actual first choice.
Well, ive been reading reviews all morning, and i think the Iriver H-140 has clinched it
- It seams to be good in every way, except it dosnt have a touch pad - so naviation is a bit rough, but i've heard a lot of story about touch pads geting damaged.
- also, in order to try to make it last as long as posable, i have been looking at a few cases/covers etc, i found this iSkin on ebay, which looks good (worth a go anyway) - but i was also wondring is you can get hard cases to put these things into while you not using them and the in your bag geting squashed!!

I would be weary about spending that cash if you cant look after a HDD, its the least robust type of player out there.
