    Talking

the XP90 is VERY close in performance compared to the XP120 and much better suited to use with an AMD rig

it is also much cheaper by about ~ 1/3 and with an 92mm Papst you get near total silence + exceptional cooling

    BTW i use an XP120 that keeps my 2.8c M0 @ 3.8 VERY cool

Honestly, Myth, given how much you clearly spend (regularly) on your rig, neither a) nor c) really hold water...

    Got a XP120 on my MSI KN8 Neo2 Wi-fi

I think it had the lowest c/w of all the heatsinks out at the mo

It fits just... Take's a bit of know how to mount it depending on the machine and obstructions and one of the caps has to bend slighty but not enough to do harm.

I've seen pics on the web of people getting the XP120 mounted wrong so anyone getting one take care reading the instructions

deffo excellent heat sink, have had my A64 running 1.84v and its handled it.

XP-90 fits. Personally I worry about the torsion put on the motherboard by the "high-rise" heatsinks, so that seems a good choice if a 120 won't fit.

The Coolermaster Hyper 48 fits. I have the that hsf and the same mobo as yours, idle ~36, full load ~46, quite a big margin, anybody try the StarIce yet? Ppl says it pretty good, never had a chance to test though.

Thermalright XP-120, ASUS Star Ice or Arctic Cooling Freezer64 atm I would hypothesize. In general though the lower the pressure of the fan you you the smaller the gap between the XP-120 and XP-90, Hyper 6 coolers.

OK - I've had an Asus Star Ice and it went back to OCUK and was swapped for the XP-90 as the Asus wouldn't fit on my board without hitting the ram in the first DIMM slot.

The XP-90 was a piece of piss to fit and mine is fitted with a Blackfire 92mm UV fan which looks the dogs. The heatsink is designed so that the heatpipes take all the heat up to the aluminium fins which overhang above the pots next to the CPU and so cool those down as well.
