    Ultimate Audio For Gaming

    Hi,

I wanted to get some new speakers. I listen to loads of music, but mainly getting them for games. Was things about getting Logitech Z-5500 or Creative GigaWorks 7.1 S750 (expensive I know).

What I want to know is what's going to be bterr 7.1 or 5.1. What gains will I get from 7.1, I heard you can't really use it that much for gaming and stuff.

I got creative inspires 5.1 at the moment and I want an upgrade, anybody got any advice ??

    I currently own:

Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS - Sound card which is pretty good.

And the Creative Gigaworks S750 7.1 THX speaker system which is certainly one of the best ones about!

I would suggest going for 7.1 over 5.1 if you have the cash, there is quite a large difference between the two when it comes to gaming. Especialy single player games like Doom III when you really want realism. Go to Dabs.com and check out that speaker system and the customer reviews.

The only problem i found with those speakers is that it has HUGE bass which will wake everyone up at night when playing music, and make dogs bark in the day. Of course you can turn it down, but its less fun

i had the Z-5500's and they certainly will explode your eardrums, but just remeber (i curruntly have Z-2300) they take loads of space and my parents were always saying 'its vibrating thru the ceiling!' so ... its up 2 u they really are the highest sound quality ive ever heard but at a decent price imo.
