Well supposedly 200 arrived at Overclockers on the 17th, but it still says Preorder for some reason. Email them.

thats a joke, got mine 22nd of december. Its going back though as i don't like it, too buggy for me. Waiting for the dfi nforce4. Its not a bad board to be honest but ive seen better and i like having the best.

Problems ive had are sometimes doesn't recognise my hard drives. It can't run the memory over 240mhz with a 1T timing which is the fastest. This really annoys me as i spent £200 on low latency memory that can reach about 285-290mhz at 1T and the cpu voltage won't go over 1.58v even though it goes up to 1.65v in the bios which really limits the overclocking potential. No option for changing chipset voltage either.
Its not bad board when running stock speeds except for the hard drive issue just a bit of a letdown for overclocking.
Just out of curiosity, what Ram is that you bought?
Also have you flashed to the latest Bios as they added quite a few more voltage and memory option on
OCZ 3200 platinum rev 2. I tried up to beta bios 8 and no difference. Everone else has same problems and no fixes yet, im guessing they can't be fuxed until another board revision. I can't see they'd go through 8 beta bios's and not fix any of these issues if they were fixable.
Have you tried posting with the probs you've had to see if any other asus board owners getting the same? Might be good to see if its a memory or bios compatabilty thang and which mem is best considering, it seems, that its going to be a very popular mobo.

Ive posted on the anandtech forums and read over another and everyones basically in the same boat with no fixes. There are massive threads about the board on anandtech forums. Just gotta wait for the dfi board now hopefully, that is if tekheads agree to swap it. Fingers crossed!

Puds did ya read about turning off cool and quiet in the bios and make sure IDE Prefech and SMART monitoring was on.
yeah all tried! Can't test anything else now as my motherboard has gone back.
