The problem is Pudds how do we know that the Dfi isnt gunna be the same as the asus ya sent back m8. God couldn't be that cruel could she?????
Well ive seen beta tests and the voltage goes up to around 1.7 on cpu, memory goes up to something stupid like 4 volts , no problem going over 240mhz with memory ,seen my memory reach 300mhz on the dfi board. The other problem which is sometimes not detecting sata drives seems to only affect the asus. The whole board just seemed a bit rushed, understandable really as it was the first one out. When/if i get the dfi ill let evryone know how it is.
I spent around £100 on cooling including 7 case fans, xp-120 and 120mm delta fan so i was dissapointed with the poor overclocking options.
I can understand ya disappointment, i read the anadtech stuff bout tha board, wooooww!! seriously extensive..
Will dfi be doing an ultra board? Most are around for around £100, will it be?

Found it really easy to setup, most things are set to auto anyhow, all I did was disable the Silicon Raid as it's not in use and takes bit longer to boot.
One thing I cant stress enough after flashing is to clear the CMOS using the little jumper next to the battery, if you don't you have lock ups, no boots and usb ports not working (odd I know but all resolved after clear)
thnx, don't understand why you have to clear it but still, if it works it's summit to remember. One thing I cant stress enough after flashing is to clear the CMOS using the little jumper next to the battery, if you don't you have lock ups, no boots and usb ports not working (odd I know but all resolved after clear)
99.9% of all computer problems are caused by the software between the keyboard and the chair. (A8N-Sli deluxe owners excluded)
The usual reason is that they have changed the way something works or the available settings etc etc and if the old settings are still saved but shouldn;t be present in the new version it creates a conflict
ah so, good thinkingOriginally Posted by Olly1234

I have just read a review of the Gigabyte K8NXP-SLi on AnandTech and they rate the board quite highly, although point out that this too has a limited ram voltage OC levels (maximum setting is 2.8v - Isn't that less than the Asus board?).
The dfi board looks promosing, but may be another month before its released, then getting hold of one is another story. Not sure if I can wait that long.

An ex-work colleague is just starting up a company selling hardware... his supplier says that DFI will be releasing their NF4 boards on 4th Feb, so you should find them in stock shortly after that. He's currently put 10 of the sli-dr's on pre-order here on ebay; these'll be part of the first batch released by DFI if you decide to order one.Originally Posted by nur5ey
The sli-dr version is also on pre-order at cpucitystore.co.uk and overclockers.co.uk, for around £130+VAT.
Don't they look priddy, yummmmmm alas I bit the bullet and purchased an a8n sli for 106 quid from Tekheads just yesterday, if it dont pan out its still gunna be ebayable i'm sure.
