    I spoke to a guy from Tagan several months ago about this. At the time I was told that they should not tick.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    update:
    I've RMA'd the PSU...in fact its going back and money refunded into my account, and I ordered another the same again as a new order - cause apparently it'll be much quicker than an RMA (according to the guy I spoke to anyway) cause I want/NEED a new case so ordered one along with replacement PSU...and before you ask it doesn't matter about delivery cost as I was going to get a case anyway so would have to pay for it what ever, this just does it all at once, and is quicker too (was quoted a 10-14 day RMA turn around which sucks tbh)
    so, should be all tucked away into nice new case with new PSU by wednesday (provided they've sorted their delays etc!!), so I'll post back here from 'El speed-machino' then
    if not I know the scan guys visiting hexus are pretty reliable so should be able to sort stuff out pretty well...

    sure i posted it here earlier...oh well, its a coolermaster Centurion 5 as seen here in the reviews section:
    http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews...lld19JRD03Njg=
    and was on special at scan so figured was not bad (less than £30 incl vat). I have a couple of 80mm panaflos ready to fit into it to aid airflow too. it arrives tomorrow - fingers crossed - so I'll let you know how it goes then!

    well, its 12.15, its all plugged in and running nicely in my new case
    i feel a bit like tha car mechanic that's got a few spare bolts left over and scratching his head looking at the engine. I've got a weird metal ring that came with the case taht I have no idea what its for. there's no big bang so I guess its not important. I'v attached the front USB and firewire but not the audio, so now have possible 6 usb's! more than I need but what the hey.
    its a bit noisey tho, think its the CPU fan....yup it is, have a 80mm panaflo up front with a 120mm coolermaster (came with the case) on the rear both very quiet.
    anyone know a way of getting the cpu fan in an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum to 'self-regulate - i believe it adjusts itself to the cpu's demands somehow...a smart fan thingy...?

    I believe you'd want to enable "cool and quite" for your CPU in your mother boards BIOS, as for the metal ring.. I'm not sure .. Part of the mobo tray maybe an unused set-off of some kind?

    a: drive(!)
    a dvd/rw drive
