I Downloaded MBM5 and set it on the default setting, and it seems my CPU temp is only 37c after 1 hr of photo editing. I have inc the temp settings from my pc. Can you please have a look and tell me if you think they are correct/true settings or should i do a custom setting on the prog?

I don't know exactly how to read all that info, but all I did was try try the options until I had plausible results.
I have temperature readings for the CPU (AMD Athlon XP - 45C idle, 51C busy), system (23C), and 4 hard drives (20-22C). Room temp is a chilly 13C right now LOL!!! At least it's good for the PC.
The CPU & system readings match what I get in PC Alert 4, the monitoring program that comes with my MSI motherboard.
Photo editing is not CPU intensive, at least not constantly. MBM comes with a little app called MBM5HU.exe (Heat Up). Get the temperature displays up, start Heat Up, and see if the CPU reading rises.

wannabegeek - when you downloaded mbm5, did you do an update straight away?

The update will contain information for mbm5 to monitor temps on the widest variety of mobos. Once updated run the mbm5 config wizard (start > progs > mbm5) and select Asus P4S8X from the list of mobos. This will give you the most accurate reading for your board.

My 2p on using paste is to; ALWAYS use paste. It is often worth re-applying paste after a time, say 12 months, especially if overclocking, as the paste degredates and becomes hard over time due to the heat input.

Re Iranu; Yes i did all those things and my temps seem normal,so maybe i was worrying about nothing, but as i'm going to upgrade HSF it will get done so either way it will be checked! Meshsupport is going to send me some 'TIMS' but it psu needs to be cleaned first. Which cleaner do you recommend! This afternoon i will order the Vantec Aeroflow2 HSF, do you think this one is adequate or should i get a different one, there is so many out there all saying different things, i dont no which to choose!

Re Raj; I did notice the difference as soon as i did a Adaware scan temp shot up to 44c! "I thought photo editing was PSU intensive! It must be Video editing that is!

Photo editing isn't intensive at all.

You maybe getting confused with video compiling. This is CPU intensive.

Best way to see how much load is on ur CPU is press alt, ctrl, del then click last tab. Should tell you ur CPU useage.
