    You sure you have removed all traces of the creative drivers and the nforceII audio drivres.

    The only thing i can sugest is that you download the nfroce drivers again

    apex, yes mate, just done it all again but now i will use your download as it has audio drivers stated as my others didn't.

    i also used driver cleaner to remove all traces of creative. i'll un-install them all again in 2 sec's. cheers for link, i'll post my report later

    gets weirder mate. i am going to format which i had planned on doing as it's getting a joke now.

    re-installed 4 times to no avail. i is confused!!!!

    well, it still dont work. i havent formatted because my system is running quicker than it has for ages.

    i may as well buy a audigy soundcard as not one of the 5 driver file i've downloaded has anything to do with the soundstorm - maybe that other thread has something to do with it??

    it just won't recognise my audio driver

    you sure you have turned the onboard audio back on ?

    you tellin me mate. yep, onboard sound is definately on, i have checked 4 times since

    i have cleared the cmos now, un-installed rebooted twice as states on the un-instal message, ran driver cleaner pro and then re-installed after another re-boot. still nowt.

    message now say that the nvidia mixer cannot recognise any nforce chipset products on my pc???

    have i knackered the onboard chipset for sound do you reckon??

    if so, i'll buy a seperate soundcard.
