Yes that is the card you're looking for. Mine was built by Sapphire, please remember though that just because it has the correct memory config. it doesn't necesssarily mean it'll softmod ok. Those pipes were turned off for a reason and if i remember corectly the success rate was only around 45%. Many suffered artifacting when the pipes were unlocked & opened.

well mine and many others softmodded great im sure the success rate is much higher for the right type of cards e.g. the l shaped memory cards

mine softmodded and clocked higher than 9700 pro speeds

and yes merlin the card you suggest is the right type and it looks like it may be already softmodded if not it still clocks to pro speeds so u just download the omega drivers and it will mod it for u

beware alot of people have had trouble with retek with returns etc

alot of the probs were overheating issues , it is recommended you take of the heatsink and redo the thermal paste with some good quality thermal paste

IF it's still inside the warranty period...

It's quite easy to replace the thermal paste, just a case of lifting off the cooler, wiping off the old gunk and spreading a thin layer of fresh stuff over the core.
    Then replace the cooler.

    Easy
