well if u find a 9500 non pro like i did , u can then softmod the right kind of card into a 9700 and then overclock it to 9700 pro speeds

i got mines a fair bit past 9700 pro speeds , not bad for a free boost :d

You can't softmod a 9500 Pro. It already has all 8 pipes open. The difference between a 9500 Pro and a 9700 is the 9500 Pro only has a 128bit memory interface, the R300 core is identical.

If you get a 9500 with a 256 bit memory interface (I.E. L-shaped memory arrangement) that can potentially be softmodded into a 9700.

Anways, still the 9500 Pro is the pick of the bunch from those

yup the pro is faster but nothing compared to the 9500 with the l shaped memory when u download the omegadriver

have a look around for one of those first before u settle on a normal 9500 pro

they make it so easy to mod the card now , all u do is download the omegadriver like i said an select mod 9500 to 9700 and it does it for u !
