Thanks! It's funny, you think you've read everything, and that your ready. You know all the parts.. but there's always ONE THING! Heh, I guess nothing replaces experience.

I have to disagree with rajagra.
The BIOS actually causes the system temps to climb quite a bit. Your system runs much cooler when you are just idling in Windows. Your temps are just fine.

P.S. I've installed Folding@Home on my DFI LanParty UT SLI-D / A64 3500+, and managed to get the CPU temp up to 39C. (Still cooler than the chipset at 45C) With the CPU fan at 1500RPM minimum speed. Room temp is 17C.
And with the latest beta drivers running 2 XFX 6600GTs in SLI, I'm getting crazy frames/sec in HL2 (50 to 260) even at 1600x1200 res with all settings on max quality. Much better than the Ti4400 in my older system!!! I'm going to enjoy this thing.
No I didn't. You told him it would be worth re-applying the thermalpaste and HSF. I told him his temps are very very good. Few things will heat up a CPU as much as sitting in the BIOS believe it or not. Try it. His temps are quite good.
The DFIs are great boards!

I agree with everything you say StormPC. I know that monitoring the temps in the BIOS setup is a great test that the HS is doing its job. CPU intense programs like Prime95, F@H, will make it hotter, but not by much.
None of our comments contradict each other, except I thought you had attributed the line in blue to me. I'm glad that's cleared up.

Well I should have separated my comments. I sort of answered both posts with my one post but didn't specify whose comments I was addressing because I assumed you'd know who said what.
Sorry for the confusion.
Thorsson...LOL
I didn't realize the BIOS was so CPU intensive. Thanks for the clear up
