What Graphics Card With the Shuttle SN85G4 v3

Im thinking of getting a new shuttle with a 3400+ but I'm worried what graphics cards I will be able to use. The PSU is rated at 240 watts and im wondering if I will be able to put a x800 xt in there?

    Any help please.

As long as its single slot then its fine. As far as I know all X800XT's are single slot so it looks a-ok

The 275W PSU in shuttles in not the same as a standard PSU in terms of rating, my 275W shuttle psu happily powers my 3.4P4, 2 x 160GB seagates and a 6800GT PCI-e

Are these systems more power efficient and so dont require as much power?

Is that what you mean when you say

'The 275W PSU in shuttles in not the same as a standard PSU in terms of rating'

    Kef9, basicly yeah

the shuttle psu's put out the power that they say they do and even when things get hot they still do unlike normal psu's that start to suffer when getting hot.

Good Stuff! what shuttle have you got Apex?

Also does it matter if you put the graphics card on the same power line as your DVD drive or would it be better (probably) to give it its own line as I have one spare tucked away. Has anyone done any tests on this?

I went for a club 3d X800 XT in the end and not the new X800 XL. Got it brand new for £220! what a deal!

Decided against the agp XL because its really long so the PCI-e to AGP convertor can fit on (Its longer than a 6800 ultra) and it would restrict airflow in the case.

got to wait for it to be delivered and cant wait to get it in my system!
