No doubt it'll be passed off as someone who didn't know better, pretending they did..

Classic Asus; nice boards but just pray you never have to talk to anyone in support as you just get nonsense. They may as well just read lines from Monty Python's Hungarian Phrasebook Sketch:

Customer: Will the X470-Pro be getting support for the 5800X?
ASUS: My hovercraft is full of eels.

I have to wonder if they were waiting to see how much poo storm was going to get kicked up, but I just couldn't see how they would lose face vs other board makers.

Re: Asus not releasing Zen3 update for B450/X470 owners

Well, one of the most damning part of it all was the rumour which CAT found of Asus being the ones most lobbying AMD to have no Zen3 support in 400 series in the first place.

Guess, nobody wants to provide free support forever but AMD will have to be clearer with AM5.
Of course, if BIOS's weren't so locked up and encrypted, I'm sure the Bethesda support model could be applied: let the community fix it!

Well Asus are probably the most expensive of the AMD brands,so you would expect better than average service. MSI seems to be doing a stellar job, despite being somewhat cheaper.
