Had a little shock yesterday when i looked at my r5 3600 cpu temp in warzone peaking at 93 degrees. Its the stock cooler and not long had new thermal paste. I'm looking at the freezer 34 esport duo unless anyone can talk me into something else.

I'm running the esports 34 (not even the Duo) on a 3700X and it's been better than the stock 3700X heatsink which in turn is way better than the 3600 stock cooler.
My work tends to make the CPU fans ramp up and down quite a bit, and this fan isn't so annoying when doing that compared to my old stock fan. It also boosts better.
There are better heatsink/fan combos out there, but for the money these seem decent. No buyers remorse here certainly.
Note I said above that the cpu now boosts better. Unless you are water cooling it is difficult to actually get the temperatures down on these things, they just go "More thermal headroom, WAHAY!" and soak up more power. I'm fine with that
Worth double checking it's seated correctly. If it is there's always the classic Cooler Master hyper 212. Been around forever but for good reason.
Shame the cooler master is aesthetically poor compared with the artic. Reviews of the eSports duo look well so will likely get one. It's all seated correctly but I had to use noctua paste when I reseated it last which might be a factor.
The 212 has actually had a number of variants/revisions over time - X, Evo, v2 etc. Generally newer ones are better. I'm cooling a 9900K on a 212X I think with just an uprated fan.
Again check out the different variants - there are bling/white/black versions of the 212 too.Originally Posted by LiGhTfasT

However, the Freezer 34 eSports DUO does have dual fans,so is probably better??
well the duo is installed, made a massive difference so far from 54 at idle while watching youtube to 33. The max from 62 > 47.
I noticed the old thermal paste didnt cover one of the corners with the stock heatsink (so much for the central pea sized blop of paste).
Overall very happy
Its better than coolers such as the Hyper 212:

Here are the comparisons from that review:

The only issue with that review is that they didn't compare it with price-comparable coolers. So its not surprising a much more expensive air cooler or a larger dual fan AIO water cooler is better!
He tested it against the Wraith Prism which was only found on the Ryzen 7 3700X and high CPUs. He didn't test it against the Wraith Stealth/Spire which is found on all of the current AMD sub £330 Zen3 CPUs,let alone the even worse Intel stock coolers!
The reason other reviewers got more excited as they tested it against other competing coolers and its decent against that level of the market. I don't need to test any coolers,to say £50~£100 CPU coolers are better and then go "meh" about it. Its like testing a £200 CPU and only having £500+ CPUs and saying the former is worse, which is obvious.
For a mainstream PC builder,spending £20~£100 more can be the difference between 16GB and 32GB of RAM,or a 500GB SSD and a 1TB(or even a 2TB SSD),better PSU,better case,etc.
I would also question "low end" - I wouldn't place a £50~£60 CPU cooler as mainstream, more lower level "enthusiast" level. £30 is the price you expect to pay for a mainstream CPU cooler in today's market. The Hyper 212 is a mainstream CPU cooler,as is the Vetroo V5,which was the top seller on Amazon US at the time Gamersnexus reviewed it. Than pretty much means its "mainstream" just like a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5 11400F are mainstream CPUs!
Just because the top end of CPU cooling has seen massive price inflation, doesn't mean mainstream prices need to go up too!
I had a look at some other reviews, the single fan version of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 34 eSports seems comparable to the Vetroo V5 from a quick glance.
The Duo has a second fan,so its definitely going to be better and for £35 on Amazon ATM,looks really decent value.

Arctic Freezer 34 CO is currently £25 on Scan (plain silver / copper version with black fan). Ugly but very effective.
If looks are a concern you can't really beat the Vetroo V5 which is very decent, and the fan isn't overly loud either.
My other go to has been the Deepcool Gammaxx GTX v2 Black (all black, no RBG, nice colver plate on top of the heatfins). Edit: it's not available anymore, but the non-black version with RGB (not aRGB like the Vetroo V5), is £22 on Amazon, 8 in stock: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DEEP-COOL-M.../dp/B08C4Y5F4T
I'd say the Vetroo is probably worth the little bit extra, but at £22.00 it's a very nice cooler and arguably looks a bit "cleaner" than the Vetroo, design wise.
Edit2: Vetroo V5 is currently £24.99 on Ebay from seller "digital-wholesale" (15987 feedback, 98.7% positive)
