    right....first WHAT do you have running in the back ground that makes it SO SLOW???? to start up?

    Hit the Start Button, click on Run....type in

    msconfig

    and hit OK

    Click the far right hand Tab at the top that says Startup and count how many things are in it, and scroll down if you need to.....


    Dont change anything...come back and tell us

    I have an old pc back at home, pentium 2 350, and runs winxp pro pretty damn fine. Pretty sure its less than 256mb ram in there (something like 192mb or something)

    Previosuly done all that and keep services nice and clean e.t.c. No spyware or viruses e.t.c. Tis regularly ???tidyed/tidied??? up defragged e.t.c. literally everything in the make your system run fast book done.
