can see other issues.

Saw somewhere where a comparison was done with AMD vs Intel
in math unit performance (Remember Intel's is double pumped).

A 2Ghz A64 was not too far off some thing like a Intel maths unit
running at 7.5 to 8ghz.

Thinking more on this, if Intel are moving to 5-8ghz PC's then the
maths units in effect will be at 10 to 16ghz surely to run this
fast something has to give?

Or are Intel again just playing the numbers game to get joe normals sales.....
