Just been to Currys to look at the newer Sony Vaio Laptops *Display Question*

Quite incredible , i'm truly amazed at what they have managed to pack into such a small stylish body, this one impressed me a lot:



But there was one problem about it (other than the price ), and that was the X-black screens.

Ok so the extra contrast and rich colours is nice, but the reflection is really quite annoying. Is there some kind of filter I could buy that would fit neatly on the screen that would reduce/eliminate reflections? How about one that does that and not affect the contrast etc?

Other than that, stunning, the DVD-RW drive took up over half the case, not sure how they fit everything else in there

Eventhough Sony Vaio's look like the dog's danglies, stay away from them. It is widely known amongst retailers, that Vaio's have the highest failure/return rate by far compared to other brands.

I've already owned 2 Vaios and have 3 in the household, no problems here.

I have heard of the problems etc, but i find this is more common when buying new, i usually buy used & tested so that way the original owner has already had to deal with the big problems.

Also, yes, they are more expensive than others (well, except the FS series which is well priced), but i dont mind paying more for a better design.

Nothing on the screens though?
