    Faulty Motherboard?

Got a Gigabyte GA-8ipe1000 PRO-G just over a week ago and it was running fine until saturday.

I nearly finished installing Norton Antivirus and the PC froze, left it for a min or 2 but nothing happened so i turned it off using the button and turned it back on. The monitor didn't come on, no beep and no hard drive light on the front

Just want to check its faulty before trying to RMA to OCUK. Gigabyte dont handle RMAs directly do they?

i took all the other components and put them on my old motherboard. Worked a treat so it is the motherboard. And its obviously not compatability issues because it all worked fine for a week

I tried removing the battery and also tried the cmos jumper.

Any other ideas? Really dont want to be charged by OCUK for returning a good motherboard and dont want the hassle i got from amtrak last time

Good luck with your OCUK RMA, mine has taken about 3 weeks thus far for a faulty Asus mobo.

Never again am i using their 'service' you should try calling them, it rings and rings and rings....resent giving them my hard earnt tbh. But hope yours goes more swiftly mate.
Sick of using good companies? Then why not try a bad one - Overclockers UK. Officially the worst service this side of the Kwai.

It's not bashing mate, its honest judgement. Theres a subtle difference, hardly going to promote them in good light though if they don't provide quality CS.

Well, i emailed them on saturday and had no reply by monday afternoon so i rang twice and was greeted by 'The number is busy' both times so i tried 2 more times later and it just rang and rang until it cut off

Got an email responce today though, got given an RMA number and was told that they would send out a new one with royal mail due to my troubles with amtrak

Happy as long as they send it out today or soon
