    Sluggish Rig after Diskeeper installed

I dragged DISKEEPER 5.0 from Staples on Saturday and decided to keep my system ultra tidy. Turns out my programs runs oh so slow, and not to mention that my disk cleanup doesnt work anymore.

When i decided to run disk cleanup, the CPU takes a nice nap at 100%... and never woke up. System hangs when calculating the amount of old compressed files... and chews up all my memory... yes... almost 1GB of it.

    Any advices?

How much free space have you on the drive you are trying to defrag? Also the diskcleanup will take a long while to calculate if you have lots and lots on your drive

You haven't set it to run constantly in the background? (smart schedule)

Smart scheduling in my experience is best turned off.

Manually de-frag once a week or month is plenty imo.

The smart scheduling on diskeeper is retarded to say the least. I just manually set it to run, it's far easier. My defrags now take a whole 30 seconds and keep my system running fast as hell
