It just empahsises there is no bad choice, just 2 good ones with their own pros and cons. If you're planning to keep your PC2700 then you definitely need a mobo with 5th bit FID support which the Abit NF7-S v2.0 definitely has, Asus A7N8X Deluxe may not.

Im looking to upgrade ram asap to either 3200/3500. As i would like to clock it higher, so i don't know which one still. If i was keeping my pc2700 id most likely go with the abit.

Hopefully getting two sticks of "Twinmos" pc3200, would that be better to clock with also looking for a new case and psu with a budget of £100 for the both, dunno if i can get anything decent with that though.

Seeing as ill be getting a rad 9800, has to be able to cope.

Just rem it's a close call between Asus and Abit for good reason, both are excellent buys! Regarding PSU brand makes all the diff, Antec and Enermax are tops but close behind are CTW (@ Scan), ThermalTake, Sparkle, ToPower and S.Flower (TTGI). 400W is plenty enough, a decent branded 350W should be enough but it makes sense to buy that bit higher. For the case you should look for good ventilation with case fan ounts, ideal airflow is in from bottom front and out at the top back ... ability to use larger fans (12cm) is a bonus. IMHO best to see the cases in the flesh to decide, can save you a fair bit too.

I haven't got a clue (sh, they might be listening), it simply seems they're great value. It's believed they're rebadged Antecs (arguably THE best PSU maker), could be they are too close to borderline for the full Antec branding but I would bet they'd still out-do most well branded PSUs even if that is the case. IMHO just buy one!

Alright then will buy it austin - was also looking at the "Lian Li PC7" case is this any good at all?
I have read a few reviews, and it seems to be a decent case, just wondered if anyone knew from experience?

I'm not sure really, I've heard a lot about Lian Li, well respected AFAIK. I tend to check out the local shops in order to view the cheap options, delivery can be murder.

Well the thing is mate, don't leave near many pc shops and the ones i do know are overpriced and can get cheaper online. I can get the "Lian Li PC7" for £70 including p&p which i think is pretty decent as ive seen it elsewhere costing more.

I know im getting 256x2 twinmoss pc3200 and a CWT 450w power supply, all i need to do now is choose the case (not to much) and choose the motherboard which is the hardest option of em all, as i know both are high quality etc but both have pros and cons.

Because im on a budget and looking for a motherboard which costs £90 max and the two that ive got my eyes on are the abit and the asus mobo's in which i think they are the best bang for the buck.
