    Question Shuttle SN25P V2???

    Hi there!

I am new to this Forum plus my English isn`t that good so please be patient with me...
Right now I am building my third SFF system, this time it is a Shuttle SN25P. To make installation of WinXP flawless I want to update the BIOS first. Now I`ve downloaded the "o" BIOS already but the I stumbled upon something strange. On the shuttle website it says "Description: SN25P (FN25V1.x)". Now on MY board ist says FN25 V2.0! What is that supposed to mean???
You won`t find anything at all on the shuttle website on a SN25P V2!! Can anybody help???

    Thanks,
    Pfresse

    no difference

actually it makes no difference. I could update my bios to the o version. However my 3000 Venice seems to be a bad overclocker. Any hints on VCore, Vdimm, VChipset to make that better?

The initial SN25P units incorporated the nForce4 non-Ultra chips due to a shortage of Ultra chips, although the additional Ultra features were available. The V2 revision, which should include all units available now, include the Ultra chip.

btw, while I'm no overclocking expert you could try XPC Tools http://eu.shuttle.com/en/DesktopDefa...76_read-11535/ which lets you overclock (and more) from Windows.

The overclock features are not available for the SN25p with XPCTools.

Hmm, I should have remembered that. I'll try to find out if this might be changed at some point.
