Thanks for that summary there, very useful!
I will get the kit from Scan I think; and this is the same ram: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=156701 which I think is what I want to get.
Thanks for the input guys,

I forgot to say that although money may be 'no object' it has to be justified! I don't want to spend £200 more for a 4800 than a 4400 unless there seems to be a VERY good reason for it!

Is 200MHz a good reason to you? That's about what you can expect more or less depending on cooling. Like I said, 200MHz on a P4 is nothing but on an A64 (especially dual cores) it is substantial.
Well I've now bought an Athlon64 X2 4400, along with 2GB of Corasair PC3220C2PT 2-3-3-6 ram, and an Nvidia 7800 and a Hitachi 400GB 7.2kprm and a Western Digital Raptop 74GB 10krpm to put inside a Shuttle SN25P. Looking forward to getting it all together now and hopefully will be quite good
Thanks for all the input from everybody in getting me to the right direction.

That's going to be a ninja rig TBH
