    micro ATX help please

    hi all

i was wondering if you could help, im looking at puting together a system into the coolermaster ATC-620 case and not knowing much about micro ATX systems wondered if you could give some advice, components i have at the mo are the following, radeon x800xt graphics card (AGP) 2gig of corsair duel channel ram, 1 x NEC DVD drive, 1 x raptor HDD and an athlon 64 3500+ (socket 939) this all sat inside a shuttle which after six monthes gave up and has been sent back. can you suggest a motherboard and PSU which the above would work well with.

many thanks for any help offered

Cant think of a matx 939 mobo with AGP, but get the Enermax Noisetaker 485w PSU.

There is a new DFI S939 NF3 Ultra AGP board coming out, they have it in europe and the US but not here yet. From what I hear it has the pedigree of the DFI NF4 boards so that can't be bad.

Will the Coolermaster ATC-620 take a full sized ATX PSU? If you don't know you'd better find out.

Also, there are no decent S939 micro-ATX boards in terms of performance and features. If you leave them stock and don't require many features the Foxconn Winfast boards will work, but they're not very good. The MSI (ATI 200 chipset) motherboard is nice but sucks in terms of BIOS options. There is not a single micro-ATX board that's worth having in my opinion. The Shuttle is the best but leaves a lot to be desired.

CPU City has it & feedback so far on various forums is that all early adopters are beta testers - it is buggy so far.

All of the s939 agp boards are a bit buggy though so thats to be expected. As seems the way with most DFI boards i'm sure someone like Hellfire, tictac or oscar wu will bring out a modded bios for it that will be far better than the official bios releases which should help with stability a lot.
