How much is a P4 3.2 HT 800FSB 1meg Cache and Asus P4P800-SE worth second hand?

Going to be upgrading to 64bit technology very soon but was wandering how much i should be looking for for my old board n processor which are::

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz 800FSB 1meg Cache Prescott

AsusP4P800-SE FSB800 Mainboard-Intel Hyper Threading Technology.

Sweet ass Cpu n Board they are too.

Any suggestions be most apreciated.

Well to somebody who doesn't know any better it will be worth more. Those who do won't pay much for it. There was a time when a 3.2 GHz P4 was a rocket, but that was nearly 2 years ago or more. Now that's just a couple steps higher than the slowest Prescot and not so impressive at most things.

If you're going 64 bit to run XP 64 Bit Edition I'd wait until they come out with a decent anti-virus program for it. If you want to go 64 bit because you want better performance for your money it's AMD64 time for you.

If i upgrade to an AMD 3400 64bit from my P4 3.2 HT Prescott will i see a lot of difference for my money and will i be future proof for a while?

instead of a 3400 clawhammer, why not just go for a newer 939 socket venice or san diego... you're much more future proof that way.. I heard AMD will be introducing Socket M next year... But I think socket 939 will still be around for the next few years or so... Besides, a 3400 clawhammer will only be marginally faster than some of 939 slower siblings... namely 3000+ and 3200+...

And yes, you will see a significant boost in performance.. in gaming that is... check out this website to give u a no-brainer bar chart comparison..

Sorry for the noob question but im not all that up on Processors the Amd 3400 was recomended to me by the Pc engineer in the shop.Also i have a budget of around £200-£250 so can you tell me what i Processor n M/Board i should be looking for in the mentioned price range.
