Came to about £70 and isnt bad in terms of noise and performance.
Yeah, but that pump really ain;t powerful enough for that block.

You'd of been better off with a 6002. There like 30quid brand new.

That pump isnt ideal for any block - but its cheap and doe the job adequatly. Without decent measuring equipment, the difference would not be measureable with any accuracy - your talking 4°c over the full flowrate range of the block.

However the maximium difference he is likely to see between them is 2°c so hardly worth spending over 1/3rd extra on it + I cant find anywhere that sells it, so the extra postage from other shop...

A better choice would have been a Alphacool NexXxoS XP which maintains atleast 2°c difference upto about 6L/m (which could be difficult for that block with the best of pumps). Again this block would cost atleast £35 +..

Or theres the swiftech storm when its released, but thats gonna cost more.

so i can just stick a block on the gpu and connect it up say from the water coming from the cpu? Also, i have a whny fan on the north bridge but my gpu nis blocking it, can i put it in the other 16x pcie slot (my ultra board has 2)

If so, what about water coling that?

Im fairly happy with my choices, i wasnt going for ideal components, I was going for cheap. I did ok really. I think silentdeath can see my line of thinking on this matter.

You can put a GPU cooling into the loop yes. It will reduce performance of your CPU block slightly due to reduced flow, but it's not a huge deal.

As for the northbridge, on a NF4 board it's tricky. I assume the second slot would work for your card, but no guarantees, especially on an ultra board.

No point in w/c the nb. Stick a passive zalman on it, and make sure it gets some airflow.

Main problem with the NF4 boards is the NB is right under the GFX card so you have to fit a cooler into a small space meaning big passive sinks won't fit.

I have the Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler, it's 47mm high so doubt very much that it'll fit.

It won't, you have at best 20mm clearance.

They are easy to mod so that they fit by removing a few pins..
