    Question New SATA Drive Config

Building a new system using Asus K8V-X (skt 754 /w Semp 2500+ 64) Bios Rev. 08.00.09 6/14/05, pair of Corsair XMS 512 PC3200, ATI AiW 9600XT, and WD Caviar SATA 160mb.

First time with SATA and am stumped as to how to get MB to recognize HDD. Tiz connected to SATA1 /w SATA power, spins up but I am unable to find anything SATA in the bios therefore booting to install CD (XP Pro) doesn't find hdd to part/format and install. Jumpers don't appear to be an issue tho could be wrong.

    Any ideas folks?

You should have a floppy with the SATA drivers on them. Stick it in when you install Windows, and hit F6 (I think) when it says so at the bottom of the screen.
