Setting up SN25P help

I have just put together my SN25P today, the full spec is:-

Shuttle XPC SN25P
Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 90nm (939 Pin) CPU OEM
Corsair TwinX 1GB DDR (2x512MB) (XMS3200C2PT)
Maxtor DiamondMax +10 NCQ 7200RPM SATA/150 200GB 8MB Cache
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800GT Hybrid 256mb DDR3 TVOut/DVI

I have been having problems installing/running Win XP Pro inc SP2, I had it installed but during the installation I had a BSOD and it restarted and carried on. Then when updating some drivers Windows just totally crashed, can't remember the error though (not a common one). Then I tried to reboot and nothing happened, a blank screen.

I have tried installing it again and during either the format or the install would get another BSOD. So I have removed a piece of the RAM and so far its going ok, but it possibly may crash again.

I also wondered if I had the Bios settings correct for my spec, so if anyone could advise on the main setting for the above spec, I'll be able to rule that out.

What do you think the chances of the RAM being faulty?

Ok, sorted this now by switching over the sticks.

Next onto the Bios settings for my 3200+, anyone know what I need to set to?

Also alot of people had trouble with the default sata leads so if you get any more crashes change them.

Oh dear, I am getting almost constant BSOD's now, but been pretty stable since my last post. I have just run Memtest again and it through up a load of errors. So I removed the potential faulty stick and I am now running the Progs I was trying before (which caused the BSOD's) and so far it seems ok.

Question, why would a faulty piece of Ram be ok for a period of time then all of a sudden start to play up. The only thing I need to rule out now is that the Mem slots on the board are not at fault.
