    I need a new mic...

I'm looking buy a new microphone for my computer, as my old one is crap. It used to be good but, because it's a headset with a bendy microphone, the cables have gone funny and so anything I record sounds crappy.

I'm interested in finding a tabletop mic with absolutely no bendiness involved, for less than £25. I was hoping that somebody could recommend a good microphone manufacturer -- or a particular microphone -- to look out for?

I'm also curious as to whether I should get a USB mic or a 'normal' one and would appreciate some help in that regard. I don't have any USB 2.0 ports, but I'm not sure if that would make any difference when it came to audio quality?

I've found a USB Logitech Mic for £20 with noise cancelling and stuff here, but don't know if it's any good:

I don't like PC World and understand I could get it online cheaper, but I have a voucher for their store seeing as they completely messed up my computer and may as well use it. I also need the mic by Friday and it just so happens that PC World is opposite my college.

Thanks in advance. If I've posted this in the wrong place, then I apologise; this is my first time posting outside of HEXUS.gaming.

Mm, I was tempted to buy from Scan because of the free shipping, but was worried that it wouldn't be able to get here by Friday.

I saw the analogue one elsewhere, too, but I have a feeling that the USB might be clearer. Seems to have some nicer features, too... But I don't know what I'm talking about, so it's more or less guesswork on my part.

    Thanks for the links.

Well, Scan are charging exactly the same amount as PC World. With Scan there's always the chance that it wouldn't arrive on time for one reason or another; at least if I get it from PC World I can pick it up tomorrow and know that it's definitely going to be here, you know?
