General system speed boost from raptor?

Currently have 300gb SATA(see below) as my boot drive. Would I see much diff in speed if I used a 74gb raptor as my sys drive compared to my current one?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

It is quite subjective but I was very impressed with the difference in windows and game load times with my 36gb raptor compared to my old 120gb Maxtor IDE 8mb cache

Yeah I saw quite a nice overall system speed when I upgraded to a Raptor, but the increase from the Diamondmax 10 might be far smaller.
