    DVD RW Drive Error

Rite, i just bought a HP DVD RW 840b lightscribe. Ive managed to use it to write on the lightscribe disc i got with it, and nero successfully write to it on a cd. The thing is, nero failed to verifie the data. Also when i incert a disc into the drive it changes the logo from the dvd drive logo, to the cd logo, obviously meaning its detecting the disc. But when i try to open it, it tells me to insert a disc, when i right click on properties it reports 0free space and 0 used space.

    Any help?

Needs new monitor / speakers / headphones / keyboard.

    Any1 know anything?

Or should i just send it back to scan for a replacement? The fact it can do everything else makes me think it isnt a hardware problem.

Has this happened with a few CD's, or just one?
What brand of CD's are you using?
Could be a media compatabilty issue?
What type of disk are you making; data, audio, etc?
Have you tried any other burning software or updated Nero?
Have you tried flashing the drives firmware?
    Questions questions...

have poke around the manufactures website for an updated firmware version. Try a different brand of CD's too.

One other thing, try burning at lower speeds and see if that helps.
