ok this might sound a little silly but, what's the nicest, fastest... um, bestest (and maybe evene taking ergonomics into account) PDA around. Just came into some money and oh boy do i want one.

Depends whether you want all the features or a lightweight PDA really. If you want all the features then the one nichomach posted would be pretty good.

yep. i'm thinking of going with the dell, while i'm here, anyone know a good keyboard to go with can be bluetooth, wifi, infrared or whatever. Also will a 4gb microdrive work in one of these, they are ridiculously cheap compared to eaquivalent cf cards.
Another vote for the x51v-624 here. I got one of these a couple of weeks ago and it's fantastic
I don't use a keyboard with it, as I mainly use it for reading/web browsing/watching videos/mp3s/games/scheduling and whatnot. However, there are a few reviews here:

As far as I know, and what from I've seen on the aximsite forums - people are using CF microdrives without too many problems. I'm just using a 2GB crucial CF card and the 512MB SD card that came with the device. All I need, really.
I'm looking at the 624 Axim as well, whats the Dell GPS software with it like, you get a bundle on the dell site atm which is £170 and seems pretty good
what about PDA's with mobile phone addon? Anyone have any idea?
palm t5 is nice needs a few mem sticks in it
the new palm with the harddisk is ok but a little fat imo

If you want a PDA+phone then the XDA Exec / HTC Universal is hard to beat Or the XDA IIi or IIs is also very good. I used all three. The IIs keyboard is useless, it's too small and not very responsive.

Give EvilWeevil a PM, he has an HP PDA I consider far superior to any of the Axims. Really nice, plus some really good free apps.
if i were to buy an hp 4700 which comes with windows mobile 2003 would i be able to upgrade it to 5?
Yup, thats the one.
Yes you can, for something like £10 you can have an upgrade to mobile 5, just PM EvilWeevil for more info.
WM5 - Hp are releasing an upgrade for around £15 at the beginning of March. Imho its a great PDA, huge amount of storage built in as well, which you can stick your docs on to keep when you upgrade. Screen is beautiful as well.
