Dual channel is actually a motherboard setting and not related to the ram sticks themselves. Almost any modules can run in dual channel provided you put them in the correct slots on the motherboard.Originally Posted by ExceededGoku

CPU City do a wide range of RAM although they appear to be kinda expensive.
it seems to me that the best thing for me to do would be to get 2gb of corsair value ram
Go for the corsair valur ram at £117 1T much more important than tight timmings.
is an extra £40 worth it if I can get ddr 500 at cl3?
More beats less.
MHz beats timings.
That's all you need to know.
nice rule of thumb but is ddr500 worth an extra £40?
Extra clocks are almost never worth it... DDR500 or not, you can probably achieve it with just using looser timings on ur DDR400 chips..
Those extra money could go to better use.. like lighting ur rig up with 10 neons, or treat ur wife to a nice dinner out..
No point wasting it on these...
